Asbestos Management Plan
Asbestos Safety West has developed of asbestos management plans (AMPs) for a variety of commercial projects.
An AMP forms part of the documentation that demonstrates that a company has addressed its obligations under the OHS Act and (Asbestos) Regulations.
The AMP:
Outlines the necessary actions to control risk and comply with regulatory requirements;
Identifies and describes the administrative line of authority for the site, outlining responsibilities, procedures and systems for the effective management and control of asbestos materials;
Methods for monitoring the exposure control measures implemented;The timeline for action that sets out priorities based on the level of risk of exposure to airborne asbestos fibres;
Establishes a timetable for the review and assessment of the various asbestos containing materials;
Instigates a work permit system where asbestos materials are to remain in-situ in the workplace, which ensures that any proposed maintenance, installation, alteration or renovation is notified to site management. This ensures that employees/contractors undertaking any work at the site are aware of the location and type of asbestos material, and training has been provided for the employee/contractor to conduct the work in the safest possible manner.
